The Baltimore Ravens have announced a significant investment of $1 million aimed at supporting gun violence prevention efforts in Baltimore. This initiative will benefit six organizations dedicated to crisis response and long-term recovery, aligning with the Baltimore Together: A Violence Prevention Summit held at M&T Bank Stadium. The summit gathered leaders from various sectors, including healthcare and public safety, to discuss strategies for reducing violence in the community. Ravens president Sashi Brown emphasized the franchise's commitment to using its platform for impactful community work. The funding will support programs such as the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement and MedStar Health’s Hospital Violence Responder program, which assists victims of violence. Additionally, Everytown for Gun Safety will conduct training in local high schools, while Roca Maryland will focus on intervention strategies for at-risk young men. This investment reflects the Ravens' dedication to fostering positive change and enhancing safety in Baltimore.
